911 PNP Candidates Receive Invitations in This Month’s First Express Entry Draw

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has recently completed the first Express Entry draw for this month.

Canada ball.

Selected candidates now have 60 days to submit their full application for permanent residency (PR) to the IRCC. If they miss this deadline, their Invitation to Apply (ITA) will expire and become invalid.

Express Entry Recent Draw – Summary

The latest Express Entry draw took place on September 9, 2024. A total of 911 candidates were chosen from the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) stream. To qualify for the invitation, candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 732 or more.

Category: Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)

• Number of invitations: 911

• Rank required for invitation: 911 or higher

• Date and time of draw: September 9, 2024, at 15:42:40 UTC

• CRS score of the lowest invited candidate: 732

• Tie-breaking rule: March 13, 2024, at 19:56:16 UTC

(If multiple candidates have the lowest CRS score, invitations will be issued based on the time their profile was submitted.)

Candidates who did not receive an invitation will stay in the Express Entry pool for up to 12 months after submitting their profile. It's advised not to withdraw your profile, as you could still be invited in future draws.

Express Entry Draws in 2024

The Express Entry draws in 2024 have taken an unusual turn compared to previous years. In July, for example, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held nine separate draws, inviting more than 25,000 candidates to apply for permanent residency. In August, five rounds of invitations were held, with over 10,000 individuals being invited.

Normally, Express Entry draws are scheduled every two weeks. However, the irregular schedule this year has made it harder to predict when the next draw will take place.

Currently, IRCC is conducting three distinct types of Express Entry draws:

• General Express Entry draws

• Program-specific Express Entry draws

• Category-based Express Entry draws

The likelihood of receiving an invitation in upcoming draws will depend entirely on a candidate's Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. The higher the CRS score, the better the chance of being invited to apply for permanent residency in Canada.

If you're considering starting your Canadian immigration journey through Express Entry, it's essential to thoroughly explore and understand the process to maximize your chances of success.
